Winter makes everything white
A huge thing in finishing something is to finish it – mentally. To do that last thing, like writing a long post about a project like I did yesterday. It feels great to have gotten my thoughts down, wow! Like adding the last punctuation to a book maybe, and coming to an end. Phew and yes; Yay! When I read all your comments in yesterday’s post about hosting a swap I was truly moved, thank you!
Today a quick post with frost photos – and tomorrow a lengthy review on Diane Trout’s cool book Journal Spilling that I read last week.
Sweden has had snow since before Christmas, and it’s lovely white everywhere you look, though I took these photos on a particular frosty day.
Almost everything covered in thick white frost, but I managed to find a pink flower peeking through…
Pink Heather (Calluna vulgaris) keeps its form and colors even when it is dry, just as those beautiful rowanberries you know.
On some days you just have to go back inside and fetch your camera.

These photos are stunning! Everything seems so delicate when dusted with snow =) I think the last one of the mail box is my favorite
We didn’t get a lot of snow so far this winter. At least here in Montreal. This past week, we could see grass in a lot of places though everything still was frozen. But we got a nice cover of snow last night and we should be getting more in the next week. I don’t usually like winter but fresh white snow is so pretty!

Such awesome photographs as always Hanna! Can you believe I’m 30 and I’ve never seen snow in my life? I live in Florida! (USA, hehe…) — I think it really says something about you that though you’ve probably seen snow all your life you still find it beautiful and special enough to take pictures of it. It also speaks of the artist in your heart that you capture is so well.
