There is hope

Ur min dagbok

This is a drawing that I made in my diary two weeks ago. It is a self portrait, where I’m saying “as long as there is love, there is hope”. Don’t you agree? There is so much happening in the world, to the world, that sometimes you just want to take cover under your blanket and hide away. Cry your eyes out with sorrow and scream out loud because life hurts so much. Love can suddenly end, people die around us and we are all going towards our own end, each day. But there is something so beautiful about love. Maybe I’m in love with love itself, but I know I enjoy both reciving and giving. And I have so much to give, and that always gives me hope.

At Studio Friday today the theme is hope. When I feel sad I sometimes go through my photos, recent and past ones, and view my life in still pictures. When I see the places I’ve been, the people I know and love, it always gives me such joy, and hope that even though I feel sad now I will be happy again because the images are a proof of that. The ups and downs of life is constant, but the photography is almost always of joyful times! I love that!

Tulip love

Other things that gives me joy and hope is: P – my fianc?, my lovely family, my friends, Hello happy feet!comments in my blog or personal e-mails from strangers all over the world, sunshine, children, flowers, natures ability to take care of itself when allowed to, the joy of reading and collecting words…

And the joy of seeing beauty in small things like new socks from mom and a self portrait that makes me smile!

And to make you full of hope about getting mail from me – don’t forget to sign the post below this one since I’m having a giveaway soon!

  2. What a perfectly timed post. I am not in the best of moods today; in fact, it’s been a rough morning. And here I come, checking my daily reads, and you offer up a serving of hope. Thank you so much.

  3. Well said. It seems like sometimes it would be easier to give into all the ugliness but that would just add to it.

  4. I needed to read a message of cheer today, thank you! There is always something hopeful and positive on your blog, Hanna! From the roses to the hand made crafts, I always stop by to see what I may not be seeing as I go through my new life here in Sweden.

  5. Nice post. Beautiful flowers. fun socks. Just remember we’re on this earth to love one another…so all that love you have is natural :-) and more people should be that way.
