Finished Rainbow Glue Book + free project label
A bit over a year ago I shared a video and a blog post on How to start a Rainbow Glue Book mostly because I was so inspired by this idea of creating monochromatic kind of magazine collages in a composition notebook myself. While filling this book I’ve had a great time for sure, filmed several process videos, shared the pages and found a new love for Glue Booking.
And now this notebook is all FULL!
Today I think I am talking about this particular glue book for the last time (at least for a long while) and sharing the final flip-through of all the pages!
I hope you’ll enjoy it.
By the way, if you’re new to me and this project, there is a glue book playlist where you can see the entire series in one go! Bookmark it and come back with a coffee on a rainy day if you haven’t watched it yet and you want some inspiration on where and how to get started! It starts of with the tutorial, and ends with this video number 7 of a flip-through of the entire composition notebook!
Rainbow Glue Book: Final flip-through video
This series is seven parts long (!) but this is the final part, I promise. Take a look at this monster of a notebook!
I can’t believe it myself, I finished it finally! I wish I could’ve done this last year, but since I wanted to film some of the process it took a lot longer than desired to wrap it up. Now in hindsight it all looks like I had planned it all from the beginning… LOL. But if I were a better planner it wouldn’t take me a year before I edited and finished the last color pink for example.
In any case, did you like the label I painted? Then download it at the end of this blog post. It’s free – you don’t even have to sign up for my Newsletter! But if you have the time, take a glance in my shop will you? You might find something you fancy there, maybe another kind of label you need.
The rainbow pages of the Rainbow glue book might be my favorite in the entire book, but then again, I think I’ve said that about every section? But just look at them:
So beautiful, so colorful, so very happy!
I also enjoyed black and white of course, and in the video I was reminded of my time in a dark room developing film… There is something special about black and white photography, and these days so easy to explore as we can make all our photos black and white in a single click on the computer or the phone even!
I feel a series of black and white photos (maybe portraits) coming along in my future?!
Don’t miss: the Glue Book Playlist
Bookmark this blog post or log in to YouTube and add the playlist to “watch later” if you want to, then you can have it playing while working on your own rainbow glue book / journal project!
Free Rainbow Labels to download
Since I already painted and scanned my rainbow label I thought I’d share it here so you can print a few too, just for fun.
If you end up using the labels in any way, I’d love to see them. Tag me on Instagram where I’m @ihannas, e-mail me a link or send me a photo if you’re not on social media. Also, if you have the time, leave me a comment below, I’d love to know if these are useful to you in some way.
Inspired by this video or are you here to download the free label? Buy iHanna a coffee on Ko-Fi to show your appreciation.
Wanna send me something? I love any happy mail. And BTW, here’s a link to my Amazon Wish List (my birthday is in late April). ;-)
I’d love to see what you make! My next Glue book project will be announced soon, so stay tuned.
I have really enjoyed your blog and you have inspired me to start my own glue book which has been so much fun! I can see myself having all sorts of glue books with various themes :)
Yes, I think that finding different themes is a great way to inspire yourself and find new ways to do both art journaling and glue booking!
Good luck with yours, let me know how it goes.
Congrats on finishing your Rainbow Glue Book, Hanna! That’s so exciting! And it turned out so well! Thanks for bringing us along on your creative journey. It’s been fun watching the book progress!
Loved the inclusion of the Color Run pic on your rainbow page! Wonderful hubby and I ran in a Color Run a couple years back and had a blast! We’d definitely recommend!
Congrats again on seeing your project to the end!
Thanks Arielle! Love the IDEA of a color run but since I’m not a runner I doubt I will ever experience it, but glad you did!
I love your rainbow book but I’m more drawn to black and white lately, I think it’s a marvelous idea to create/have both books and I might start one later this year, beginning with b/w… thanks for all the inspiration Hanna!
Just one page of black and white images is beautiful, it doesn’t have to be a whole book on that theme I think. Take care Marit.
