The smell of spring | Collage week 12
Mixing up painted papers that I’ve recently created with old goodies collected years ago, and topping it of with a spring flower, because why not? Last batch had those cute birds, so I thought I’d bring in some more nature images this week. And I feel like it’s time to speed up my collage posting a bit, to get caught up since we’re now at the middle point of the year soon. Expect a few collage posts next week, but let’s start with these spring flowers.

This blog post contains collage number 78 to 84 that I’ve created this year, as I continue with my series “365 collages in 2025”. I hope you like ’em.

I’ve really tried to keep the names of these flowers together with the image in my files, but if I mix something up you can let me know. I’m sure you know a lot more about English flower and bird names than I do. Although with the titles of my collages I will always take confident and artistic freedoms of course, so they’re not at all meant to be a guidebook to identifying spring flowers or for bird watching. That’d just be silly. This is art, and each of these seven compositions have been deliberate and thoughtfully composed by yours truly.

Thank you so much for clicking over, taking a look and leaving me a comment below telling me which of these collages you like best – and why you like it. I hope all of these makes you at least think of the smell of spring.
About this project: I am making one collage for each day of the year in 2025 and blogging seven at a time each week here. I have created 365 artworks in a year thrice before so I am hopeful that I can do it again. Please also check out week 12 2013 (Easter edition) and week 12 2018 (Freedom to choose) – and leave me a comment if you find a new favorites along the way. I’d love to know which of these you like best – and why you like it. Thanks for helping me finish this by cheering me on. I appreciate you being here.

Hi Hanna! I like 84 best this week but they are all sweet and springy! We are already in the hot throes of summer here in Florida USA.
Thank you Kelly, we’re definitely having summer over here too, but these collages were created in early May. I’m just behind on posting. :)
This weeks favorite 80 & 81.
Thanks for letting me know Tobia!
I like all of them, the whole serie, very refreshing, colourful.
If I have to choose, the 79, “smell of spring,” I can smell them!
Thanks Lou. Glad you enjoyed the colleges. I can smell that one too, heh.
