Darker Colours of Hope | Collage week 13
I grabbed a couple of darker colored papers this time, but I hope that the feeling that these collages evoke is not dark. I wanted them to feel hopeful, like you’re walking from the darkness of worse times towards better days… I doubt we’re ever going to feel all in balance and perky all the time, but it is important to remember the good times, the bright sky ahead, the open landscape welcoming us to visit. There is so much beauty and wonderful sights in this world. My art is here to remind us all of these times.

This blog post contains collages that I have made this year, as I continue creating in my series “365 collages in 2025”. I hope you like ’em.

Sit with your grief. Pour it tea. Listen to it. Honor it. Let it unravel its pain so you may release yours.

Thank you so much for clicking over, taking a look and leaving me a comment below telling me which of these collages you like best – and why you like it.
About this project: I am making one collage for each day of the year in 2025 and blogging seven at a time each week here. I have created 365 artworks in a year thrice before so I am hopeful that I can do it again. Please also check out week 13 2013 and week 13 2018 (a spring that never dries up no less) – and leave me a comment if you find a new favorites along the way. I’d love to know which of these you like best – and why you like it. Thanks for helping me finish this by cheering me on. I appreciate you being here.

What a beautiful name for the series, and your work conveys 🌞 in the distance.
Aw, thanks friend.
Again, gorgeous! All of them. If I have to choose, I go for nr. 88: not mine to keep. I love the embroidered layers, that lovely lady.
You are too kind, thanks. As an embroiderer myself I love using images and photos of embroidery, or even as you might have seen in the Anatomy of a collage post, my own photos of WIP embroidery.
So sorry-I have been trying to reach you several different ways. While I am getting postcards, I never got my list of addresses.
Hi Debra, I’ve sent you a reply from two different emails. Hopefully you’ll get one of those but if not, please contact me through FB and I’ll send the list there. I have no powers over the email servers of the world unfortunately. :-/
Love #89 in this collection the best.
I have to admit though… I dont find them very dark.
That’s okay though, I was not going for dark but for hopeful.
