iHanna’s DIY Postcard Swap spring 2025
Outside my window the cherry tree is like a cloud of white once again, and the sun is shining. It looks inviting and the spring feels have finally awakened my tired old bones. Finally it is here.

Spring in Sweden means that it is high time to re-open the twice annual DIY Postcard Swap, spring edition, here on the blog! Yay!
Consider this your invitation to join us. Please do. It is an invitation to gather your art supplies, to breath in a few times and start creating a little pile of DIY postcards. Handmade art pieces that you will send out from your desk and from your heart – to the world. And boy oh boy, does the world need our generosity, kindness, creativity and love right now. Let’s make the world bloom with the colors of the wind, of rebirth and all of us rejecting the powers that wants to divide us into nations, regions and people at war. Let’s ignore the evils of the world and do our own thing for a while: let’s just be creatives, where we use the internet to come together and share what we love with unknown friends from all over the globe.
Let us create, connect & share our handmade postcard art with the entire beautiful globe!
How the DIY Postcard Swap works
If you are new or curious, or you have never participated in the DIY Postcard Swap before, please visit the official swap home page before you sign up (you can always find your way back there via the menu on my blog). There I have gathered everything about the swap. On that page, which you can bookmark for future reference, you will find the rules, current status of the swap (if the email with address has been sent out it will say so on this page and the sign up period will be closed), all dates and deadlines, how to sign up and more.
You’ll also find a welcome video, inspiring links to all past swap blog posts with information about how my DIY Postcards have looked through the years, a buy now-link to the digital download DIY Postcard Swap Idea-book, links to download a free, printable backside for your DIY Postcards – and much more. Read through the rules before you sign up, and if you have any questions after that check out the Swap FAQ.
In the FAQ section I have gathered Frequently Asked Questions about postcard style, size, envelopes, email information and more. Wanna know if your kid can join too, it’s there (short answer: no). Wanna know if you can sign up to send 20 postcards instead of 10, it’s there (short answer: yes). Wanna know what to do when you help a friend or relative to sign up as well? The answer is in the FAQ! :-)
Let me know in the comments when you’ve signed up or what you’ve been up to creatively, lately.
Share this blog post/email/graphic to your social media please. I would very much appreciate your help in spreading the word about the swap this year! So feel free to pin it to Pinterest, share it on Facebook or Instagram, make a postcard video of how your process looks this time, blog your postcards.
Please, do any of these things but before the swap closes May 20th, to let your readers know about it. This will give more people the chance to sign up this spring. Thanks in advance.
Stay creative and take care. Until next time, xo

Welcome back to the DIY Postcard Swap, Suzi!
I’m always so happy when this swap open up. And I always have more postcards than I need, at the ready. This year, I have some fun collages, a few semi-abstract paintings, and a bunch of my latest obsession, layered botanical gel prints!
I am so excited, I signed up! This will be my second time and I hope to join for many more in the future! Thanks for hosting this. I am just sorry it took me so long to find out about it.
