Collage utopia | The last collages from 2022 [8 of 8]

We are at the end of a little trip. We have arrived at the pile of collages that were not 365 from 2022 but instead ended up being 59 finished collages. I’m happy with that number and I enjoyed seeing them again, scanning them and uploading them week by week to the blog until today when I am sharing the final nine collages.

I hope you enjoyed seeing them, and getting some of my thoughts on working with themes, images and scraps as well. Don’t cry, I’ll keep creating art and sharing as you well know. More current art as I am still working on my 365 collages this year.

By the title of these last three collages you can tell I named them after the year ended, because at the time I of course did not that I’d not make anymore than these. I wanted to create 365 collages and probably held on to that idea for a while after I made the last one, thinking I could catch up. Push on. Make it work. Make myself fold. But sometimes you can’t and you have to give up on your precious ideas of being productive and always following through on your promises to yourself. Your goals and ideas. Remember that they’re just ideas, and goals – not something that has to be done at all costs. I gave up in 2022, at this time I had to – and that’s okay. Right?

The End I guess – collage art, 2022.

Thanks for being here, leaving me comments choosing favorites and letting me know what about that art piece spoke to you at this moment in time. I didn’t realize I’d take so long to post all of this or I might not have started since I also want to highlight the collages I make this year on my blog, but I also didn’t want to not post these collages from 2022. Thanks for following along. Thanks for also encouraging me on the current path towards 365 collage sin 2025!

Stay tuned, collages abound!

This is part 8 of 8 in the 2022 series of collages that I scanned and decided to share this year finally.
Part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 6 | part 7 – shared earlier.

  1. I love these! Just life as usual feels like right now in the U.S. – but we shall persevere!
Small in the world – love the frog and the little frog punchouts.
Utopia Harbor – the placement of the rainbow cloud above the ships – genius!
Thanks for sharing your art with us.

  2. Thank you for sharing these. I love the polka dotted tissue paper.
I am really into making collaged postcards these days. I haven’t shared any yet but I enjoy it together with my 100 day project of quotes. But it is such a mess on the desk.
