I meant to have all these collages from 2022 uploaded and blogged by the start of the new year. I meant to use the in-between-days for writing a list of achievements of 2024 and share that on my blog like I did in the past. And to share some more thoughts on creative goals, not just my book thoughs. I meant to answer all incoming comments and email in a way that was efficient and prompt, not to keep dilly-dallying into the new year… LOL. Let this be a lesson friends: it’s never too late until you give up and I haven’t done that. Instead I am actually resting my brain I think, refueling for the 365 project not yet started and going easy on myself for once. Yay me!

In any case today I’m sharing 7 square collages made in 2022, I hope you like them. I’d love to know bellow which of these you like best, and why, if you don’t mind.

  1. To me, I go for composition and contrast in a collage, so my faves are the first one and last one. Really strong c & c. to both of them.
I’ll be 69 next month and have finally learned to begin each year slowly. I do the chore work on time but the rest is on simmer. In the long run, I end up doing what pleasures me best. I hope you find your best pleasures this year.

  2. I think “where the wilderbeasts are” is my favorite and “will waft through” comes in second. There was something about the composition, colors, and theme that really caught my eye and made me really look at it. I enjoyed all of them, but those two were definitely my favorite. Beautiful work!

  3. I love the 4th one for the creatures, especially the winged one, and I love the last one for the black and white contrast and lots of visual interest – but it still doesn’t look too “busy” – love your compositions. I’m very much a beginner with collage so I love seeing the work of someone with lots more experience and talent.

  4. How can I pick just one? I love them all! Well, if I have to choose, I guess Butterfly Tummies captures my attention most because of the vibrant green, and I love how the circular stencil creates interest and texture. They’re all gorgeous, original, and special.
