Visual Wish List for Christmas

I made this visual Christmas wish list in an app called Shuffles. It’s directly connected to your Pinterest account, so it’s meant to make collages using what you’ve gathered on Pinterest and then share them there but you can also download your digital collage:

I was mostly playing around with the app, but I have made many wish lists on this blog. I enjoy how they feel like a time capsule of what I’m drawn to in the moment, how so many things stay the same and how some things change drastically. I made this list because it’s interesting to see which of these I still would buy for myself in a year or two. And because gift guides are probably your own wish list anyway, and this feels more honest. I’m sharing it here because I wanted to do that today.

Nobody asked for my wish list, but here it is anyway. So pink and pretty, right? I added numbers to the vertical version of the visual wish list (below), so I could write a little about each item and keep dreaming… Let’s go.

iHannas visual wish list made with the Pinterest app Shuffles December 2024 as a Christmas wish list
  1. Office drawer unit – I have been wanting one or two of these things for years by now. I’m not sure I’d love it but I think I would. It’s not a regular unit with drawers though, it’s the last drawer at the bottom I want, a big drawer with metal bars where you hang your folders. Filing cabinet style I guess, like an archive. I think it would be the perfect storage for my many collage fodder folders. Easy to access if it was under my desk, easy to pull out and easy to hide them away in as well. If only I had room for it I would hunt for a second-hand one more intensely. So yes, before I get this I need a bigger place.
  2. Neon pink acrylic shelf – for my collections. I have only seen most of these things online, but I really dig the acrylic shelf idea. Not that we need more plastic in the world, but oh my, it’s cool. This one could be place in a book shelf to elevate your collections for example. I like that it’s pink, transparent, sturdy and so pretty. It would not fit in my book shelf currently, so before I get this one I need a bigger place. LOL.
  3. Stickers, washi tape and neon watercolors – yes please. Always, right? I have actually gotten quite a few stickers and rolls of tape this year, so I don’t technically need any more. But still, yes please. I would like to get more specific rolls of designer tape and custom stickers from my huge etsy wish list, including some with book images, strawberries and frogs. And some Sanrio tape like the one roll of Little Twin Stars that is featured in the wish list (I love them). A subscription to a sticker club as well, like the amazing Pipsticks that I sometimes visit online, swoon and then sigh over – they’re too expensive with added shipping to little ol’ me. Plus who knows if I’d love everything I got anyway (which would be a problem because I have a hard time getting rid of stuff). And also: new neon watercolors before my old set runs out which I think it will soon. I’d have plenty of room for all of this and then some, haha. Like I said, I don’t need it, but I want it.
  4. Pink notebook cover – still in the market for a gel star patterned wrap and a hot pink cover for the black Stalogy B6 journal that I am currently using as my diary.
  5. Cute summer dress – a bit random on the list, but I am so very into big patterns and happy looking clothes that I see online that I added this one in. I guess the algorithm is onto what I crave these days. I never see clothes like this in the store (except in kid sizes), but in ads on Pinterest they come up all the time now, half of them probably AI generated, but still pretty alluring to me. Printed jeans, flower power tights, polka dot cardigans and heart patterned sweaters.
  6. Walking shoes – I hate shopping for shoes but I think it’s time again soon. Gah!
  7. Playful lights – I have a thing for pretty lamps as well, and the algorithm knows that. Both of these came up as ads on Pinterest (why are there so many ads). The colorful bubble stack is a big floor lamp that looks amazing. I wonder how it would ship to Sweden? The little flower is a desk lamp with an exposed bulb. I like both, and many more.
  8. Tote bag – I mean it’s pink. And fun. Everyone needs more totes.
  9. Flowery Coffee Cup – I like this sage green, embossed cup so much. There’s an entire set, with different flowers, a Danish design by Rice. I couldn’t find them on Rice’s homepage, so maybe they’re out of stock or don’t make them anymore, but you’ll find them at kitchentime, probably. I’d like a set of one of each, please, and the matching plates. I think it’d be so cute by the flower lamp as I am journaling and sipping my evening tea…
  10. A Blythe doll – maybe? Yes, I am downsizing my own doll collection, but I might still want a Blythe doll one day, I think. Or maybe I just enjoy looking at doll photos of custom, pink haired beautiful Blythe dolls still. In the kind of knitted cardigans and swirly skirts I myself want to wear. Maybe the dream of being a person that loves customizing dolls is not for me, but I still wish for at least one of these dolls, one day.

And that is all I want for Christmas. Except…

I also need to list some things not on the visual wish list, items of interest in no specific order.

All I want for Christmas is, of course, world peace. And a little cottage in the forest with great wi-fi and a cozy fireplace. I’ll also take an organized studio with lots of storage and work stations for sewing, gluing and collage and for my digital work (like layout and scanning). A set-up for filming with bright lights and a overhead stand that is easy to use. A room for my growing library, so I don’t have to keep getting rid of the books that I get (all the time). A trip to Berlin in Germany or to Seoul in Korea (or both). A go away retreat weekend with my mom with some good food and the spa experience, including massages and wine. I really, really need a personal coach and mentor person as well, someone that is very understanding and kind but firm, someone that will help me move forward and be less afraid of change. I’ll take that person wrapped with a bow on her head. I would like a cute, pink environmentally friendly car while we’re at it as well, not that I don’t love my bike, but something to help me get further because I want to go see stuff again. Visit friends. Be more independent and free. A trip to any of the Disneyland places in the world, also. And a growing light for my plants. please.

But that’s all. For now. Thank you, sweet mr Santa Claus. Love you. xxxx

/Hanna

PS: The Shuffles app that I have used to create this very pink image collage is easy to use and fun to get into. It’s from the new world where it’s okay to steal and re-use any image you see, where copyright is abandoned and artist’s rights are dissolved. Yay, the future is here which must mean that the end is near. Am I right? Also, if you want any links to these items check out my pinterest board called Visual Wish List where I sometimes pin new things that my little heart craves but probably don’t need. What’s on your list?

  1. Your wish list is so YOU – all pink! All cute! I love all your fun, happy items and I hope you’ll get some of them from Santa or from yourself. I know…Pinterest is so full of advertising, and so are Facebook and Instagram. They always seem to know what will entice me. I keep thinking I’ll just get rid of all of them – and then I don’t do it. Thankfully we have our blogs where we can be in control.
Ooooh, your snarky line about the future is here, the end must be near! Yep, that’s about right. I am dumbfounded by what AI is doing. It makes traditional, hands-on art feel more wonderful than ever.

  2. Awww, how sad no one asked for your wish list? Maybe you should buy at least one item off the list for yourself, as your treat to yourself? And why not. And maybe the doll? Or maybe not. I get it. Sometimes it’s fun to look at things but not necessarily buy them.

Meanwhile, here’s wishing you and your family all the best for the holidays. Have a wonderful Christmas.

  3. Well blast me from the past and call yourself Hanna! Wow, what a pleasure to see your comment on my blog, old friend! I’ve subscribed so I can keep up with your again. Hope you are doing well and don’t even ask me how long it’s been since yahoo groups and no social media, hahaha. Have a very Merry Christmas / God Jul and the best year ever (or in a long while at least because how do we really know it would be the best since we can time travel?). And thanks so much for making my night and commenting on my blog, XOXOX, Aimeslee

  4. I love that “less bullshit, more feminism” tote bag! You should totally get that for yourself.

    Merry Christmas, friend!

  5. This is such a happy list.
All pink and bubble gum like and happy and bubbly.
    Love it.

If you make it to Berlin, – and you are interested – let me know. We could meet for coffee some place.
