The Luna Lapin love story
Luna Lapin is on the hunt, not to shoot anything of course (only humans do crazy stuff like that in her opinion), but for love, sweet love. Since the twins moved away and her bestie the green eyed Luna Lapin backed her bag to travel to Italy she is feeling a bit lonely.
Today she is wearing her new summer dress and strolling through the garden.
Luna Lapin is in love with her new dress and its cute details. The hand embroidered roses and the long lace that swooshes around her bare legs. It’s a bit chilly and she is thinking that this is the last day of wearing the dress, and then….
….all of a sudden her cheeks turns a bit red. She spots another bunny in the garden that also has ventured out on this lovely autumn day… He is busy playing with a stick in the big pond, so at first does not notice our Luna.
Our dear Luna Lapin is sad that he doesn’t notice her and her summer dress, but as soon as she turns around to put on her white winter coat (that she has left laying on the grass, along with her knitted scarf and red handbag) he notices the movement and looks up. She was about to give up and leave, but their bead eyes meet and there is a spark in the air.
What can I say? It’s bunny love at the first sight..
They have their first talk by the cutest little tree of the great garden, and mr Lapin, who is a very gentle soul, even manages to befriend the Little People Bunnies that live in the garden under a rock. They are tiny and rarely seen as they are from another time and place…
Oh sorry, correction time. The Little Bunnies does not in fact live under a rock because they have since moved…
They are in their own mansion these days. Times are changing, aren’t they?
As a side note, the Little Bunnies feel like they have been neglected for far too long. They might never have been formally presented on this wee little blog, and therefor never had their time in the spot light. They might have been too shy at the time of making, but right now they are demanding change around here. Maybe I will get back to them another time. Maybe, if you all are not tired of bunnies.
But for now, let’s get back to the main love story of Luna Lapin and her new friendly friend. They walked over to the pond to have a little snuggle, actually. It was the perfect romantic spot, after all.
And just as the sun came out to greet them, they kissed.
It was a sweet moment, let’s leave it at that. The end.

I had a lovely time taking these photos, and I am glad I finally took the time to edit, write and share them with you guys. Thanks for following along. I hope you enjoyed the adventure of Luna Lapin & Co.
Note: all bunnies in this and previous blog posts have been sewn by my wonderful mom (except the green eared, green eyed one that I made). All their clothes, including Mr Lapins jeans, gingham shirt and brown shoes, were also sewn by my mom. The rose summer dress, that I was inspired to start, were eventually finished by mom. Mom also made the mini bunnies, although I made similar ones in different clothes at the time.

…a lovely post with this beautiful rabbit pair. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Thank you Tom, I appreciate the visit back as well. :-)
Oh, this is so sweet. And the story continues … I love how you tell such a cute story in pictures. Just lovely!
Thank you. It was fun writing it.
Oh goodness, your mom is so talented! I loved seeing the story of Luna and her new friendly friend.
Yes, my mom is great and also SO full of patience. I don’t have the patience for this kind of detailed sewing of tiny clothes I think. Or well, sometimes I do, most of the time not.
So cute. And I agree your mom is talented but so are you. Making one of these is not easy. I once made stuffed toy and it was so hard.
