Swedish spring is amazing. It starts somewhere in March if we’re lucky and goes all the way until the end of May if summer isn’t early… Every week there are some new spring flowers popping up through the ground, making me smile.

I am enjoying bushes and trees in bloom as well as colorful patches of ground everywhere. There’s something new every time I go for my short walks around the neighborhood.

Walking around with my camera, I take all of them home with me… in a way.

And when the buds in the tree spring, it’s a sight to see.

We live for a few short days in this cloud of white (growing outside the balcony):

Just recently (at the end of May) I spotted that the Lilac bushes turned from green to purple, such showstoppers, smelling divine to me.

Almost summer, but not quite yet. I am enjoying this spring to the fullest of my ability.

And when the pink flowers burst I become a giddy girl again. Spring renews everything.

Swedish spring is so beautiful.

Spring is my favorite season, not only because almost everyone in my family have birthdays then (including me) and everything feels like a celebration, not just because there are so many red days in the calendar, not even just because of all the beautiful spring flowers… but also because of the light. The light changes and becomes warmer. The sun stays up longer here and the longer days are truly something to be grateful for I think.

And all of a sudden, everything feels lighter too.
