365 Collages | Week 10 | Roses for You
You have to care about your work but not about the result. You have to care about how good you are and how good you feel, but not about how good people think you are.

I did a collage exercise once where you used bits of the same paper in different ways. You can see the result of that collage study here. These seven collages for my 365 Collages Project, are kind of similar. I used almost all the same bits of paper scraps and cut each piece into seven, to create cohesion.
The trick is to make similar collages but not to bore the viewer with too much similarities. I did not aim to make copies, but originals. Let me know in the comments if you think I succeed, or if you think they should be more diverse?

Hi Hanna, imo, i think your mission was a success! each collage has a similar feel, but they each have their own look. i like how each one has a rose, that really pulls them together if you wanted to display/group them on the wall or in a frame. my favorite is “Roses for the family”, i love the black/white illustration and how you placed 3 pieces with pink in them, one on the left, a tiny pink scrap on the right, and the gorgeous pink rose in the center, it makes it feel balanced, if that makes sense :-) i struggle SO much when i try to use less/create a minimal look. i applaud your effort and achievements with this technique!!! thank you for sharing xoxo
Thank you Jenny, for your collage feedback. I have been practicing minimalism when it comes to collage, and I guess being in a hurry will help a bit too, for not overworking things or complicating things too much. :-)
Thanks for the beautiful postcard you sent me (next time, let me know and I will give you my new address), and being such a wonderful supporter!
Hanna, I just love looking at your combination of papers for your collages. Mine always look like crap. Keep on inspiring us out here who don’t have a clue. :=) take care ~~rita
What? No, I really doubt yours looks like crap!? Take a step back, wait a bit, and you’ll see how awesome they are. But thanks, I will do my best to keep inspiring you. :-)
hei! Very interesting!
I like most the first collage of the little pictures! There is a lot of movement; interesting.
Thank you for leaving me feedback, happy you like the collages I make.
Very nice! I like how you are experimenting with different designs. what are you doing with them when you are done?
