Today I’m finally sharing a Traveler’s Notebook Flip-Through. It’s a long video (about 20 minutes), but I had so much to share I wanted to be thorough. Personally I love drinking my coffee in the morning, visiting YouTube and watching a video on someone else’s notebook, and see all the cute details inside it, so of course I wanted to share it all with you guys!

Falling in LOVE with the DIY Traveler's Notebook System + flip through

If you are as into notebooks as I think you are, you’ll like this peek into mine. If you don’t have time to watch it right now, feel free to bookmark this blog post or the video on youtube and come back another time. When you have watched the whole thing, let me know below what you think of it and if you’d be interested in more peeks into my system. I’d love to hear your thoughts too.

Regular size Traveler’s Notebook Flipthrough

In my Traveler’s Notebook set up you’ll get plenty of inspiration for how you can use your own notebooks, and some DIY tips on making stuff for your TN, keeping a washi tape sampler with you and such. In the video I share my Blog Planner Notebook and my Brain-dump Notebook full of lists and ideas. You’ll also get a glimpse of my Randomocity Notebook for memory keeping, journaling and such, but I’ll share more about that one another time.

Let’s take a look:

My Pink Rose TN Cover

My DIY Traveler’s Notebook is made from a plastic place mat cut to size, folded and used as a notebook cover. I absolutely love the red color and the pink rose pattern on this one. I was so lucky to find a perfect fit, because I rarely see the correct kind of place mat here, that bends nicely but does’t break or crease. The inside is covered in gold foil, and all the notebook inserts I have made myself (or I customized some that I bought).

As explained in my TN guide, Im in love with the Midori Travelers Notebook System. It is so versatile and fun to work in. I have already filled a ton of inserts, and I’d like to share them in a series here on the blog. Maybe you’ll fall in love with them too?

My DIY Traveler’s Notebook come with me everywhere. When I first saw the Traveler’s Notebooks I decided to make a few inserts myself, to see how I liked working in them, and when I fell in love with the crazy “regular size” 21 x 11 cm (8,26 x 4,33) I made myself a Traveler’s Notebook style cover. I’ve got a few extra TN Covers that I’m going to sell, contact me if you’re interested.

First best is falling in love. Second best is being in love. Least best is falling out of love. But any of it is better than never having been in love.
Maya Angelou

I think most people love the feeling of “falling in love”, and being in love with someone. But unfortunately it doesn’t happen that often, especially if you already living with a significant other. But the metaphor of “falling in love” can be applied to other situations in life, don’t you think? Like falling in love with a new notebook, a great blog or even an artist or writer you find that you have strong feelings for.

Do you ever fall in love with a notebook or a concept like this sometimes too? I hope it’s not just me who thinks of inanimate objects with such affection? First stage of falling in love with a notebook for example, for me, is always online research. Before I buy, or make in this case, I’m looking at videos, reading articles, bookmarking resources for ever!

Traveler’s Notebook Resources

Since I’ve collected a lot of TN resources in the link list app I use to save everything (and sometimes share articles in), I thought I’d list up a couple of the best ones here. TN links that you might want to check out.
