Green Smart Journal
Sharing one of my spiral bound journals today! I love every spread of this journal – and the patchwork cover. Very yummy, all of it. And it was fun to work with a color scheme like this! Smart is short for Small Art Journal, my invention for these square, spiral journals that I’ve made several of lately.

Green Smart Journal

Lush Green is a “blank book” I made especially to sell, while working on my own square journals. I’m happy to report that it’s already sold and shipped! But thought I’d share the lush green cover and some of the green spreads. There are lots of colours in this journal, made out of all kinds of papers from my stash, but the theme of it is “green”! I’ve also made others, a pink one is listed in the Shop right now.

Green is one of my favorite colours. Not the dark Christmas green perhaps but any lighter shades. Like spring green. Yellow green, lush green! It’s perfect in combination with pink too.

All of the pages are hand picked. Some are pretty scrapbook papers, others have collage and magazine images. Some are made from envelopes or cardstock or brown paper.

The left page is cut from vellum. I think of it as the transparent jungle! Isn’t it cool? On the last page is a pocket with the “extras”:

The pocket is made out of a seed package, and the extras are bits of this and that for collage.

Backside patchwork! And if you want to look at all the pages, they’re in this slideshow:

I will show pages from the pink smart journal another day, how about that!
