Christmas fair

Yesterday we went to the yearly Christmas fair to get some feeling for the December joy in the newly fallen snow.

Here are some pictures from the fair. Horses with sleighs behind them went around with children and families, I bought newly baked tunnbröd (thin bread) and some Christmas gifts for the family. There was snow, glögg, candles, a great exhibition of Christmas tree carpets made by schools and craftfolks.

Here is a fire from one of the little cottages in the fair ground Gammlia:

Things that I made this past week:

  • Diped candles in school (made lots of them!)
  • Made Christmas cards (not finished)
  • Went to Christmas fair
  • Finished reading a great novel
  • Listen to Christmas carrolls by Studenkören (student choir) tonight in church
  • Had glögg (hot wine punch) with friends + fruit sallad and gingerbread biscuits (mmmm…)

Next week: hang the stars, start buying gifts (for little bro), bake lussebullar (saffron buns).
