When I find something new that I want to do, I get obsessed. I can’t stop thinking about doing it, and I forget all the important stuff I really need to do this week. I forget time and food, and if I read about it before going to sleep, I know I will think about it about an hour before actually getting to sleep.

GessoRight now our home looks horrible. Like a burglar went in here and tore the place apart. Piles of fabric scraps on the desk and paper clippings all over the living room floor. Scissors, yarn, tissue paper, pens, pencils, books, essays and magazines – everywhere!

What is that white stuff, is it gesso?

Yesterday I bought this mysterious thing called Gesso (brand from Winsor & Newton), one of the things out of Perrella’s book that I didn’t know what it was or that I needed before falling in love with art journaling! It’s a primer that you paint onto your canvas or book page so that it will not wrinkle, or absorb all your paint and glue. It also adds a bit of texture and white color to the page.

Yes, I’ve started my collaging journey. I’ll try to post some pictures soon. If I can stop working in my book long enough.
