Background story
Since I write a lot online I didn't realize just how much text I had accumulated until the end of 2006 when I did a backup to save my texts. I then noticed how long the word document became and how whole it felt. Like a... starting point for a... a project!? An entity really, but not a finished product yet.

And the more I thought about it the more it felt like a manuscript for a book, a diary form book that I would design, edit, print and distribute to friends and family and other creative souls out there! A book to hold in my hand, put in my shelf, keep as a memory of days that passed, days filled with sewing, knitting, making art, spending time with friends.

So that is what I did. It took me about nine months to edit it into book form instead of a internet document with links and referenses that wouldn't work as print. I finished in September 2007 and then I designed a cover in Photoshop and sent that and a Word-file (transformed into PDF-format) to Lulu. At Lulu.com anyone can buy it, just like I have done. I like the result and I'm proud of the book. It is a powerful feeling to make your own book and I recommend anyone who enjoys creative adventures to consider this a possiblity. Why not make a book? I know there will be more fun projects like this in my life. Maybe not a lucreative adventure, but one filled with lots of joy and challanges. I've researched publishing and writing, and I learned so much new stuff along the way. The book will be something I'll have in my bookshelf during my life and re-read many times. It's a treasure made by me for me - but something that I also can share with you and the rest of the world. I like that feeling.
