Dreaming of space

A while back I bought a store shelf at a recycling store (Återvinningen). It was already varnished in rust brown, cute nice but not my style.
So after a lot of hesitation I went to the the Paint & wallpaper store and got pink paint! The pink is very bright (but not white!), a shabby chic colour that I adore!
I painted it on my balcony, in the sun this weekend. And this is how it turned out:

Tada!
After it dryed I took it back into the bedroom and filled it up with my craft stuff! Yarn in the plastic boxes on the floor and then paint, paper, small boxes with lace and buttons and some small pieces of fabric (the rest still jammed packed in my closet).
I would love a real big studio or just a small little craft room, but we just have two rooms. It’s stupid that I have all this stuff in the bedroom, since I do my collages in the living room sofa or in the kitchen and have to carry everything around all the time. But for now it’s good like this, and now the shelf is pink and shabby! Love it!
But still… I love to look at other peoples studios! Here are some that I’ve found and like:
Like the great doll maker Mimi Kirchner with her cool and cozy studio - so nice! - I’d love to visit her drawers!

Rae Eames not to clean desk [via Keri]
The colourfull artist Teesha Moore with her exiting art studio! Wow, right?
And who wouldn’t want this room of stuff and stamps? I would love to live there! Or hmm… at least clean it up and take some with me home! It belongs to Michael Leigh, a cool guy whoes blog Flobberlob I just found [via Swapatorium!]
I will keep on dreaming - of space.

Det värsta är att även om man har fler rum så räcker de inte ändå!
Very cute shelf! I love it!
Soon our dream house in Röbäck will be on sale! 200 square meters filled with crafting and love!
IKEA Kungens Kurva har på “Work”-våningen inrett världens underbaraste sy-/craftrum, har du inte sett det, så ta en kik, IKEA är värt en besök nästan bara för det rummet!
It’s amazing how you can carve out a space when you want one, eh? I had 1/2 of our guest room, but since the kids have thier own rooms now, I’m sharing the office, but at least it’s a space. Maybe we can dream about a true studio space, eh? I’m sure it will happen eventually! :-)
[…] out went the bookshelf and then there were plenty of room for a thrifted desk (50 SEK), my pink craft shelf and P drilled a IKEA shelf to the wall, it framed the desk just perfect + he hung a spot light […]
