I’ve been spending a few days at a embroidery workshop and retreat here in Sweden, right now I’m just trying to digest it all. Among other lovely ladies I met Madde, someone who indeed is a kindred spirit. Her painted ATC fabric inspired the above ATC backgrounds, painted with acrylic paint on fabric.
Last time I saw here I was empty handed when others started to embroider, so she gave me a pieace of cloth that she’d painted yellow (in perfect ATC size!). It was so much fun sewing into the paint, and making that ATC (mine turned out a bright sun) that I decided to copy the idea. This is the beginning of a few more embroidered Artist Trading Cards of mine. Yay for beginnings!
I love the painted backgrounds already, and you haven’t even begun to stitch, these should be petite goodies when you are through. xox
