I love love love this photo! She inspire me, and I inspire her. She has just recently started to knit socks, inspired by all the socks I’ve made! She even knit me a pair of yummy red and pink socks! I wear them all the time as the floor is cold indoors.

I’ve also been inspired by pictures found online of scarfs… I have now finished knitting this striped scarf, mixing solid black wool with a marbled yarn that is rather dark too. Love it!

I am a scarf knitter, yes I am. I love simple, no-brainer knits in thick quick yarn! Here are some images to get you inspired!

Two 50 gram skeins of marbled blue and lilac Sarek from my supplier and friend Marika. I had one black skein of wool but needed two so I had to get another one. Though a finished project with only one new skein bought (and using three skeins from the stash!) is great work, right?!

My inspiration came from Thread Banger’s Weekly DIY Roundup post Knit and Crochet Scarves!, reminding me that knitting scarfs can be so much fun and you always need another scarf… Well I did. I think you might too? The roundup post took me to Brooklyn Tweed’s pattern for a Noro Scarf that is just adorable. Yummy knitting photography and smart usage of multicolored yarn! I couldn’t really afford that Japanese noro silk stuff right now but someday I’m sure I will knit a scarf like this one with noro.

Pattern: two rows black, two rows Sarek in ribbing (knit 2, purl 2); and on you go!

Hanna, what a lovely scarf. It looks so fancy and awesome. I love how the blue color changes and shifts throughout the scarf. You inspire me! Have a great Monday!

    Hi Linnea!
Yes, it’s a fun colored yarn and it’s even cooler when mixed up with the black stripes. To bad I didn’t come up with it on my own… hehe. Thanks!
