Green wrist warmers with an edge

I’ve knitted dark green wrist warmers in baby wool yarn that is really soft. I then crocheted a lace like edge in moss green (not so soft) wool, in two layers around and instead of sewing them together I added buttons as closure.

I think they turned out kind of romantic, even though the colours are not. I really like small projects like this, but even thought they are small, sewing on all the buttons took a lot of time.

My inspiration came from the lovely book Poetry in Stitches (Dikt i maskor) by Solveig Hisdal, but I created mine from another kind of yarn, and a few small changes. This book contains the most beautiful sweaters I’ve ever seen. It’s my favorite knitting book, and I’d love to knit one of the sweaters some day, when I get more experience and self confidence perhaps…

I’ve added these wrist warmers to the shop, check it out.

    Hi Hannah,

I really like those wrist thingies (pulsvamrere? Great name!) could you tell me how you made them? Or could I buy some from you? I loved your glas jar picture so much I used it on my site (I hope you don’t mind, if you do I’ll remove it, of course) Check it out, it’s next to the Thank God It’s Friday Riddle.
Anyway, keep up the good work, I really like your stuff!

    kind regards,
